The goal for almost all supply chain management efforts is the same: maximize profits, product throughputs, and customer service; minimize costs and cycle times; and always satisfy your customer’s product demand. Product demand cannot typically be satisfied instantaneously; it requires significant planning to gauge the need for and timing of raw materials delivery, production efforts, distribution capacities, and transportation timing. Considerations within the supply chain management process must include: when and how much raw material should be ordered from a supplier, when must the order be manufactured, when does the shipment need to be ready for transport and how much of the product needs to be shipped.

Plan b understands Supply Chain Management Optimization and will help you recognize and provide for your organization’s specific needs.
