Job Description and Requirements: Principal Engineer
This position will research, analyze and develop security solutions for DSE products, participate in all aspects of security development projects including; business case development, architecture, and detail technical design and development. This position will also define, recommend and implement security requirements, policies, procedures, and develop a security roadmap. Other responsibilities include delivering technical analysis and evaluating information in order to identify and understand security vulnerabilities and issues including but not limited to; network infrastructure, host configuration, application design and implementation, trusts, and accounts.
The selected candidate will perform product evaluations such as guiding environment owners regarding the use of new technologies and provide feedback to product groups such as design changes, bugs and feature requests, and will perform other related duties as assigned.
In addition, the successful candidates will possess the following:
· MSE or equivalent
· 7+ years software development/architecture experience.
· 5+ years in security application development, including: encryption/decryption, MS CryptoAPI, PAM Kerberos, SSL/TLS or others. You must have 5+ years in network protocols including; TCP/IP, UDP, SNMP, SMB, IPSec, SSL, HTTP, plus 3+ years in Web Services development.
· 3+ years in Linux/Unix and WinNT/2000 security experience.
· Object Oriented design/development, data security API’s, encryption/decryption algorithms and libraries, access control issues, and OS security issues are also a must.
· Multifunction Peripheral expertise is a plus.
· Printer experience, Java, UML, XML and experience with certification of secured products such as CERT are also desired.
· You must be team oriented with excellent communication and writing skills.
· You must be capable of providing schedule assessments and job commitment is a must.
